Founded in 2023 by composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Charley Kassabian, Effector Records is an independent record label and recording studio based in Portland, OR.

Created from a desire for a platform to release music under multiple projects, Effector Records is a host to weird synthesis, haunting film scores, and anything else that falls within our good taste, from pop to noise music.

We’re a small team, and we aim to keep it that way. Operating entirely out of our home studio and partnering with local and/or likeminded manufacturers for our products, we like to keep our fingers in the batter. Our content is dirty, our batches are small, and everything from Effector Records comes drenched in our blood, sweat, and tears.

Inspired by the bold ideas, experimentation, and DIY efforts from the filmmakers, musicians, and artists that came before us, we aim to carve out space for ourselves and the artists to come after us, making room for the future wave of noisemakers, both young and old.
